Words of Comfort and Encouragement

Even if you don't know the P. family, or will ever on this side of heaven, and if you've followed this blog the past few days, and are praying for this precious family, please take a few moments to leave a note in the comment section, letting them know who you are and that you're praying for them. We plan to print them out before the funeral and give them to the P. family. I know that God will use these notes from all over the Body of Christ to comfort, bless and encourage this grieving Part. May we gather together, as the Body of Christ, from all over the world, possibly, and lift up this hurting young family. The father's name is Barry, and the mother's name is Kim.

Thank you.

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him....That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular...

To the Plaths:

May the Lord carry you during this time. He has entrusted unto you a great sorrow...the greatest a mother or father can experience.

Our hearts are broken with yours, as we all cling to the One who is Faithful and True.

May the glory and mercy of our Father be revealed to you in great measure during this time of suffering.

Kim, Barry, and children,
We are praying here in Florida for your precious family. Your obvious love for your family is so very evident. Our sovereign heavenly Father knows your hearts' cry.

Praying that a comfort that only He can bring and a peace that passes understanding may rain down upon you.

Barry and Kim,

Our hearts weep with you. I trust the Holy Spirit to help us pray since our words seem so inadequate. Somehow the Lord empowers us to travel through what he allows in our life, and when our strength is the least His shows strongest. May you be able to say with Job, "The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised."

We have been petitioning the Lord for you - that His mighty arms will carry and comfort you - that His grace and mercy will sustain you, giving you His peace and rest in the midst terrible suffering and grief.

We will continue to pray and lift you and your dear family up to our Lord. May you keep your eyes fixed upon Christ and cling to one another as He leads you now and in the years to come.

Kim and Barry--

I keep erasing words, because none of them seem like they could possibly do any kind of justice to the grief of losing a child. Please just know that strangers are holding you in their prayers. Just these few posts that have been written about your family show how much you are loved. I am praying that you are surrounded and held up first by God's faithful and all consuming love. But I also pray that you are overwhelmed by the love of friends, family, and strangers. May God's grace be completely sufficient. May you know a peace that goes beyond any earthly understanding.

In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
Ps. 18:6

With love, in name of the God who hears our cries,
Brenna

Kim and Barry, Beloved of God

As you walk the path laid before you in the coming moments, days, weeks and months, God WILL sustain you. For now, though, let your tears carry the sorrow, pain and questions to His throne...trust in His sovereignty and let the hope of seeing Joshua again, in heaven, sustain you.

To Joshua's dear brothers and sweet sisters: We understand your great loss, and we want you to know that our family will be praying for you, too.

May our God, the God of all comfort, comfort you.

With our deepest sympathy and Christian love,

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Plath,

I will be praying for your family. The Lord knows your grief and pain and will always comfort you. Trust in Him and know that His will is perfect, even when it's hard to understand and bare. He loves you and will be with you during the rest of your journey here on this Earth. May you all be reunited with Joshua on that glorious day.

God bless and keep you,

Kim, Barry and family,

We love you. I wish that I could be there for you as you have been there for me and so many others.

It has taken me almost 50 years to begin to understand that this is not our home. We are but sojourners passing through the land on our way to glory. Our hope is not in this life, but in the next, where we will rest eternally from pain and sorrow. I know that you, too, embrace these truths. I also understand that I do not fully know your pain and I pray for the Holy Spirit's omnipresence to minister to you deeply and give you strength now and until that great day when we are all together with Him in Glory.
