Under the white tent, all gathered with saints from across the country...an Autumn wind rustles the sunflowers beside the tiny coffin, and you hug the baby sleeping in your lap a little closer...
"Who would have thought that that night would have been the last night I would lay him in bed, and change his diaper? Or that, when he fell asleep in my arms after we read our story, it would be for the last time?" Mr. Barry P. pauses...then continues on...
"The only reason that I can stand here, composed, is because of the sustaining, comfort and love of Jesus Christ...The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away...blessed be the name of the Lord."
Later, as we drive in the procession, on the way to the cemetery, you ponder how much life is a vapor, and a flourish...Joshua's part in HisStory is finished, and he effected hundreds of people with his joy, and those huge smiles in his short life...when he was born, my father told Mr. P. that he felt like God had a special anointing on Joshua's life. And He did. That boy was the happiest baby we've ever seen...Joshua fulfilled the part God wanted him to fulfill, to accomplish on this side of eternity...he ran his race, finished his course.
But what about you? "We'll all finish that race one day. None of us as soon as Joshua did, but we will." Will you, me-will we accomplish what He has for us? God has invited you to be a part of History, that is, His Story...HE is knocking at the door, will you open it? Will you, really serve Him with your whole heart? Be His beloved, cleansed, free Bride of Christ? Keep his commandments, represent Him to the world, to fulfill the part He wants, needs you, specifically, to play in this beautiful story of His love?
Start now. This minute, give Him your heart. Oh, He wants it so much He sent His only Son, His perfect, sinless Son, Jesus Christ, to take on the sins of the world, and to redeem you, to pay the price for our sins. Do your part in His Story...
Don't put it off, this could be your last night.

Reading through tears...
Still praying for their broken hearts and for the lost to come to know our Lord through this
