An Afternoon Walks

Hello, All!
Thought I'd share a few pictures from our walk the other day!! It was a perfect Fall day, with a cool, fragrant breeze, blue sky, and that "Fall smell" that comes with the season...We'd been changing out our summer/winter clothes all day,{isn't it fun to see the bright blues, yellows and linens in your closet turn to the burnt oranges, soft wools and cranberry hues of Autumn!!? I love it.} Anyway, we [Mama, Dee and I. Martha was the cook that week and was busy} had been indoors too long, and the outfits we'd numbly started putting together by then showed our need for a little air, so off we went!! :) Mums is so dear and wise to have thought of such a plan!! What a peaceful ending to a jolly day...
"Mover, my sthomach is hurthing!" Poor child. What a pitiful sight. Awww...
"Tis Steady Man!!" Edwin is such a darling. Here he is posing with his Harley. {Notice Dorothy's dilemma in the background. Her Skirt hem and the bike chain became friends involuntarily. She's a smart one, the dear, and got it all fixed up shortly.}
Mama and her youngest baby. That is precious.
My dear Dee Sister
Peaceful...
The pines called for a nap in it's shade, and the lush green grass was soft and inviting...Ahhh.
(If you ever do, this, however, watch out for ant beds. I made their day until I moved.)
Wildflowers...I've always thought it is so neat how God makes sure things that bloom together, look well together, like these yellow and purple things here...He is such an Artist.
Charmed slumbers...

Our precious Mother.
Mwia'.
This was just so sweet of Paul. He asked if could run home, so mums said he could, and then, 30 minutes later, he came running back with a snack for us all-a little pint jar of water, a zip lock bag containing oddly sliced bits of cheese, some leftover muffins, and enough thoughtful love and preciousness to make his mother and sisters cry...On the way home...Thank the Lord for such wonderful time of refreshing...

Blessed be the Name of the Lord

Under the white tent, all gathered with saints from across the country...an Autumn wind rustles the sunflowers beside the tiny coffin, and you hug the baby sleeping in your lap a little closer...

"Who would have thought that that night would have been the last night I would lay him in bed, and change his diaper? Or that, when he fell asleep in my arms after we read our story, it would be for the last time?" Mr. Barry P. pauses...then continues on...
"The only reason that I can stand here, composed, is because of the sustaining, comfort and love of Jesus Christ...The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away...blessed be the name of the Lord."

Later, as we drive in the procession, on the way to the cemetery, you ponder how much life is a vapor, and a flourish...Joshua's part in HisStory is finished, and he effected hundreds of people with his joy, and those huge smiles in his short life...when he was born, my father told Mr. P. that he felt like God had a special anointing on Joshua's life. And He did. That boy was the happiest baby we've ever seen...Joshua fulfilled the part God wanted him to fulfill, to accomplish on this side of eternity...he ran his race, finished his course.

But what about you? "We'll all finish that race one day. None of us as soon as Joshua did, but we will." Will you, me-will we accomplish what He has for us? God has invited you to be a part of History, that is, His Story...HE is knocking at the door, will you open it? Will you, really serve Him with your whole heart? Be His beloved, cleansed, free Bride of Christ? Keep his commandments, represent Him to the world, to fulfill the part He wants, needs you, specifically, to play in this beautiful story of His love?

Start now. This minute, give Him your heart. Oh, He wants it so much He sent His only Son, His perfect, sinless Son, Jesus Christ, to take on the sins of the world, and to redeem you, to pay the price for our sins. Do your part in His Story...

Don't put it off, this could be your last night.

Words of Comfort and Encouragement

Even if you don't know the P. family, or will ever on this side of heaven, and if you've followed this blog the past few days, and are praying for this precious family, please take a few moments to leave a note in the comment section, letting them know who you are and that you're praying for them. We plan to print them out before the funeral and give them to the P. family. I know that God will use these notes from all over the Body of Christ to comfort, bless and encourage this grieving Part. May we gather together, as the Body of Christ, from all over the world, possibly, and lift up this hurting young family. The father's name is Barry, and the mother's name is Kim.

Thank you.

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him....That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular...

Joshua Samuel

Joshua Samuel P.

born April 15 2007, died September 19, 2008

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. Isaiah 66:12-13

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. Psalms 73:26

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

Recently we had the delight of going down to FL, where we were so blessed to stop by the Campana's house for a sweet (but too short) visit to celebrate Alyssa's 14 birthday!! Though we weren't able to make it to the big party, (to see sweet/hilarious pictures of that go to http://heritagegrowers.blogspot.com/ ) they had the most beautiful tea all set out, with lemonade, chicken sandwiches, chips, fruit and cake, all pink and pretty, and they even had a boy's table in the other room with a more masculine look ;) for all the guys. We had a wonderful time, and were truly honored to spend a few hours with their precious family, in honor of Alyssa's God-honoring, beautiful life-Three cheers, and Happy Birthday!!
