Mrs. Jacqueline playing...
Self Portrait - Can you guess who this is?
Reading was in order off and on all week, and such a delightful way to invest your time!!! Here, Rachel reads a Henty book. Martha and I enjoyed Mrs. Norris' Mother at differant parts of the week, while Dorothy read Set Among Princes~ I do so love to curl up on a couch with a cup of hot chocolate or tea, and read the written word!! Bliss....
Baby Blue Eyes - alias Bret Smith III
Sweet Simon R.
Visiting...LOL, Daisy looks thrilled about something... ;)
LOL, I laugh so hard at this picture~Paul looks like a 40 year old farmer testing his crop, while Ashburn's enjoying a good piece of it, looks like! Love that grin. What cuties...
Here, Mrs. Jacqueline S. and Rachel M. prepare Puerto Rican chicken and rice, a Smith family specialty.

Each family ate breakfast and lunch at their own cabin, {or out, or sometimes we ate together anyway;) and then in the early evening we all gathered together at the huge lodge in the middle of the clearing and enjoyed supper and the evening's activitys together. A few families would get together on one meal, and that worked out great.
Little kiddos inpersonating the big ones.
Daddy singing~ah, my daddy has such a beautiful voice! It just ministers to my soul.
Mr. Bret's trumpet really added a beautiful touch to the music. There was music played all week, book reading and rafting and hiking and other interesting things.......
Daisy, Campbell, Alyssa and Moriah sing "I could sing of Your love"
Cleve and Mama asked Dorothy, Martha and I to sing "Scotland the brave" and "Let me in" LOL, it was hilariously amusing how we fumbled about, but fun none the less...
The guitar and violin get the kinks out of a song they are learning...

Wes on the drums~LOL, I love his expression~that is his "Wesley concentrating" look. ;)
The Smith family sings the Hallelujah Chorus all together~ they worked it up during their family time over several months, last year - it was glorious~it makes you want to cry it is so beautiful...
On Friday night, dancing {or rather, for some of us, of the learning ;) was the order or the evening, and we had a great time! We shoved all the couches off to the walls, and it made a perfect little hall for us to learn and dance in! Alan was the chief waltz teacher, {and made a great one!} and the R. family showed us an amazing foot dance! We had a wonderful time, and all headed off to our cabins at 1:00 Am~Well, that is to say, all except we girls, who headed off to Aubry's cabin {on invitation ;) to watch Wives and Daughters!!!! Haha, what joy! We all ate popcorn, laughed hilariously and dozed through it 'till 4:30!! What dear memories...
LOL, I think it's so funny how we are all looking at our feet!! You should have seen some of the tumbles...No, I'm kidding. We all stayed on our feet. Most of the time. ;)
Marty and Alyssa
And all week we played Aubry's Catch Phrase, a new one for us, and tons of fun, by the way, and, of course, Apples to Apples~always a classic.

Thus a little taste of a blessed week....
