Then that night, we got to hear Kirk Cameron, (who plays Caleb Holt in Fireproof) speak,
And hear the Von Trapp children sing, the great-grandchildren of the Captain and Maria Von Trapp.
We got to see the dear Hornemans!! Such a precious couple...she is so lovely
And the Dels!!! (Hey, girls!! It was so good to see y'all!) We kept passing them in Starbucks... ;)
It was really neat to meet the oldest Dugger daughter and some of her sisters-how wonderful it must be to have 17 brothers and sisters!! What a blessed family.
Also speaking was Mr. Kendrick,
And then Mr. Phillips asked Mr. Kendrick and Mr. Cameron some questions about the movie Fireproof-that was very interesting.
Ken Wales, producer of the film Amazing Grace, Chariots of Fire and the Christy series was there, and made a heartfelt tribute to his friend, Mr. Dean Jones, before he introduced him.
And then we got to see Mr. Dean Jones!! When the audience started to applause, he looked upwards and started applauding too-It was so beautiful to see how he gave all the glory and honor where it was due-the Lord Jesus. Praise His name for such humble men.
And then one of the highlights of the whole weekend was when Mr. Jones gave an absolutely thrilling rendition of Patrick Henry's "Give me Liberty" speech-it was fabulous and stirring...unbelievable!
"I'th it time to partake of suthtanence now?"

I don't know these two girls, but they were so super cute in their matching outfits I had to get a picture!! They were so sweet to pose for me. Come to find out, they are two out of a set of triplets! That's so wonderful!!
It was so neat to see the Von Trapp Children in concert!! They have such beautiful voices, and sing so well together...
A tree. Very descriptive, I know.
The adorable P. baby!
On Saturday night we got to eat at Casa Rio again, with the wonderful Rogers family!
Examining the menu... Daddy's feet on the wall... Waiting for our spots! Mama Dearest It was such a joy to see the Serven clan, and Mr. John and Elizabeth! They make such a cute couple! We're so excited for them! Here are two lead actors from two of the semi-finalist films, Aaron Burns from Pendragon and John Moore from The Widow's Might-we bought both DVD's after the festival, and have really enjoyed them! LOL. It's pretty neat watching a movie, and then seeing the actors around the conventon center-what's really creepy is seeing someone who played the bad guy, walking around!! Your first thought is to swim away!! ;) But, really, it is such a blessing, and a God honoring thing, to know that the movies you're watching are not only righteous and good stories in and of themselves, but they are made in a God-glorifying, Biblical way, by and with people who love Him. How refreshing.
It was so good to meet Miss Amanda I.-what a sweet girl!
I don't know this little sweetheart either, but she was such a doll I had to get her picture-isn't she cute? The lovely Miss S.-what a dear lady!
And, now, for the award ceremony!! This is one of the most exciting times of the whole week! Shown here is Mr. Doug Phillips, founder of the SAICFF and other projects....God bless you, Mr. Doug.
Mr. Kendrick, producer, along with his brother, of Fireproof, Facing the Giants and Flywheel won the Best Feature Length Film with Fireproof.
We enjoyed Mr. George Sarris' amazing story-telling talents again this year-we especially liked the Battle of Jericho. Y'all, this man is amazing-he memorizes whole stories in the Bible, and then dramatizes them with accents and things, but all the while keeping it word for word from the Bible-it is awesome. We bought a collection of his tapes. I think Paul and the whole family will enjoy them. We had some years ago, and wore them out. I'm glad we found Mr. Sarris' tapes again. The Duggar family from Arkansas was there and presented an award.

And, alas, no good picture of the grand prize winners, but here's to Huemoore Productions and The Widow's Might!! (We just watched it again tonight-it's hilarious!)
Saturday night, we headed over to the Rogers' for the night, and even though we stumbled in the door at 11:00 pm, they had hot tea, fresh homemade apple pie and a hot toasty fire waiting for us when we got there-what a dear, hospitable family!! Mr. and Mrs. Rogers
Dorothy and their sweet daughter, Hannah. "Forsooth!! I can see - land!! Almost home!"
Looking at this picture, as Daddy is driving, or leading us along all those miles, I think how blessed I am to have such a wonderful leader in life, too. God is soo good.
The message of this picture-stay hydrated!! 'specially on trips. T'will fix most of your physical ailments.

Awww...look!!! It's a just married car!!
The Captionless Picture
This chopper stalked us for hours-we thought we were goners when it finally caught up with us after two states-then, just as it came up beside our right window, we heard someone shouting through a mega phone, and I snapped this picture right before................!!
Oh. Never mind. It's on a trailer. We're all so relieved.

Texas brisket. THE best. Ah, this place had super good BBQ. Daddy was so dear and got us some delicious pecan pie for dessertie, too! Here we are trying to evacuate our vehicle.
Feet in line at Bill Miller's... And a hand from an outside the car view point... And the beautiful moon!! Isn't this breathtaking?

Thank you so much, Daddy Dear, for taking us on such a fun vacation!

Ta ta, ya'll!

We're Here!!

Greetings from the Lone Star State, dear friends!!

Here we are, all cozy in our hotel room, 'moi' sipping a cup of hot herbal tea, Darfy and Marfy in bed, one reading, the other's eyes at half mast, Mother dearest in bed bearing an awful headache, Daddy Darling, the best of husbands, off to get her some aspirin, and all the guys reigning chiefly in the room next door! I hear loud thumping...LOL, naw, I'm kidding-all is silent, and I'm sure they are off to sleep by now. :D We had a blessed trip out here, stopping in Pensacola for the night, and starting up again the next morning...we saw lots of alligators when going through Louisiana, (cool!!) and have been doing lots of reading, singing, talking, sleeping, and looking out the windows, of course-we stopped by this wonderful, authentic Louisianan restaurant for lunch, (Thanks, Daddy!) and enjoyed some Cajun food, and then tonight, we went to this amazing little BBQ place called Mikeske's, where, inside, they had every kind of animal you could think of stuffed on the walls!! It was about to close, so it was empty and us having gone through the drive through, we all tumbled out barefooted and scruffy to run inside and frighten the staff and look at all the stuffed creatures!! :) They were soo amazing!!

Oh, can't wait to show y'all all the pictures from the New Year's Ball-all of them are at home, so I'll have to do that later-anyway, it was a wonderful evening!!

So, goodnight! More later, Lord willing-look for nightly up dates on the film fest.-we can't wait!

Love in Him,
Adeline
Look at this!!
This was above the front door
Marf with some sort of beastling-and our new hair inspiration. :)

Wow...
With our precious father... Andrew with the menu at Thibodeaux's! We went on a loverly walk one night after it rained-it was so nice to get some walking time and fresh air!Ah...this is beautiful.
'Till later!
