The Shepherds!! Oh, I was so excited when I spotted Mrs. Ruthanne Shepherd's sweet familiar face in the crowd!! I have long wanted to meet her and her precious family, and have been enjoying their delightful blog for some time now. She was so kind to me, and even had cute bags of jelly beans in pretty little bags to give to folks! What a prepared lady. I'm so very glad I was finally able to meet you, Mrs. Ruthanne! Hope to see y'all again soon. Posted by Picasa

I read this post a few days ago but didn't have the time I wanted to comment, so I'm back.

Adeline, I'm stunned by your sweet words. You are just precious. Do you know how many times you (and your family) have come to my mind since we visited that day at the Festival? Well, I haven't actually kept a tally but it's been many, many! I still get such a kick out of the fact that we were both fans of each others' blogs & families and had no idea!

At the Festival I really wanted to find your mother and give her a hug and tell her I was so sorry to hear about the loss of the baby. But even as you and I spoke, the next film session was about to start and then after that things continued at a crazy pace and I regret I never had that chance to connect with her. I've never yet met her but I just know your mother is one lovely and godly lady. What a beautiful example of trust in the Lord your parents have displayed with regard to the timing and openness to God's blessing of the fruit of the womb. It's not quite like a real-life hug, but would you please pass on to your mother this cyber-hug? ((Mrs. Morton)).

We live just south of Birmingham. If any of you are ever traveling near here and need housing please know you're welcome at our home anytime. Just contact me at r shepherd AT datafax DOT net !

You're a blessing to me, Adeline. I may not always have a moment to comment but please consider me a regular reader of the MortonClan blog! :) I do so look forward to getting to know you all (and the Smiths, too!) better in the future, Lord willing.

Much love to you,
Ruthanne
