Hey Katie: Not sure if you know but my middle name also starts with an "E" and my name is actually Kathleen Elaine (Kathy) - I have this friend whose name is Katherine and believe it or not her middle name is Elaine like mine and she goes by kathy - how funny is that?! When our daughters (my Stephanie and her Noelle) were 5 and 6 Noelle asked me what my middle name was and when I told her Elaine - she was dumbfounded as any five year old would be . .. we still laugh about it today "Kathy E. squared" is what our husbands call us . . . I sure do pray the trip to Russia goes very well. I saw a picture of Steph's betrothal,and it's one of my favorite pix because I love seeing her,Michael and her Daddy so happy together. Praise the Lord for Daddies!
Yes, Katydid (has anyone called you that?) it is great to be a "k" girl.
It is neat that you and Stephanie are planning your weddings right now. Today we are going over to the Gonzalez' (we home church with them) and they are going to help make the bridesmaid dresses - there is nothing modest out there so we will have to make them looks like. Did Stephanie tell you taht Michael's family has 11 children and one on the way? She is utilizing everyone in her wedding in one form or another. So far we have the flower girls, jr. bridesmaids dresses and the little ring bearer suits (Josiah, Michael's little bro. will be the ring bearer and our Nicholas will be the "assistant to the ringbearer) - Stephanie had decided hte more she could use eeryone the better. The only problem (and I know you would not have this problem) is we are seriously lacking in groomsmen. Michael only has two brothers old enough for grooms men (they have lots of girls as we do)So that part is very interesting. Anyway, when we go to the Gonzalez today Stephanie will also be trying on her wedding dress so we can alter it if needed. We will get a better picture of the wedding dress and send it to you along w/ the pictures of the flower girl/jr. bridesmaid dresses.
We are hoping to also have her wedding on our property but we have a lot to fix up/tear down. This house we bought had a lot of junk sitting around so now we have a good excuse to tear down useless outbuildings etc. etc.
I will give Necie a hug for you. We sent the SMiths an email with Mark's schedule in December and we are not sure but maybe we will see everyone then. We are going really try. We won't be traveling to Springfield until January so this opens up December (of course depending on when we leave for Siberia)

PS. Oh by the way, i will need to send you one more picture. We had decided to sell Conan our sun conure and replace him w/ a quieter bird (a green cheek conure named Sweet Pea) but Michael and Stephanie convinced us to sell COnan to them . . . so the picture we have is Sweet Pea sitting on my head last night. I am not sure how to load my pictures into the blog or onto here. If you know how please let me know!
