Tagged!

Hellooo!! Hope you're having a wonderful evening.

Well, we've been tagged by our dear Mortons!! (Oh, listen up, y'all-little side note here-this is cool-we meet the "other" ;) Morton family at a father/daughter retreat several years ago, and when we introduced our selves, we came to find that the Father has the same name as our Dad, the Mama has almost the exact same name as our Mom, and they have a daughter named Katie!! Isn't that, just, amazing! :) We were so tickled! So, thanks for the tag, Mortons! So good to hear from y'all!)

OK, now we shall proceed on with the game:
Here it is. Yes, a fifth picture, pulled from old files as the rules say. Isn't Paul a doll? No, hon, he didn't shoot the turkey-Samuel did, and our Small Sprout felt the need to pose. Cutie! :D Little brothers are so much fun. We were so proud of Sam for his hunting, and blessed by Paul's smile.

Dorothy cooked up the birdie, and he was quite tasty when accompanied with cream sauce. The fowl's feathers still adorn many hats and have been subjected to "pens" by darling inventors. ;) So,

The rules for this tag are as follows:
1. go to your documents/pictures.
2. go to your 5th file.
3. go to your 5th picture.
4. blog about it.
5. tag 5 people …...

Alrighty, I tag whoever wants to play-It's fun, and easy, too, so give it a whirl. We would love to see a random picture of yours!

Goodnight!

Ron's Celebration

Hey, y'all!!
Ah, what a joy our precious Ron is...Our third grandchild, he is a fluffy bundle of, well, just absolute cuteness. His laugh makes you laugh, and his favorite face will be your's too.
Just a few weeks ago, we all gathered to celebrate this little darling...laughter, loving notes, gifts and dainty foods, (all so thoughtfully prepared and lovingly brought) were enjoyed throughout the afternoon...The spirit of the Lord that was there, that love, is what made this little shower extra special, I believe...so here's to our darling big sis and nephew-we love y'all!
Our little man of the day!
Lappin' wit' him's mama..
Mama and big brother Bret
Reading notes...and such pretty ones, too...One of the ladies had printed out of picture of little Ron, and "framed" it with pretty paper on the front of the card-it was so beautiful! What an adorable diaper bag...The monogramming is so elegant!
Gifts...Isn't that a cute blue diaper pail? And I love the practical gift of the apple sauce...such a great idea.
And then at the last, Rachel brought out a beautiful truck that Wesley had hand made for little Ron..It was soo sweet, and just made everybody cry...Wesley made it look exactly like the one Alan drives, with the company name and everything. Isn't it precious? I know Ron will enjoy it so much.
Beautiful Mama...
And here's the lovely feast! Notice the chocolate dipped pretzels to the right. Also the cheesecakes.
And the cake...Lord, do bless him, Father...
And to wrap it up, a picture of our two special people, Katie and Ronald-May God bless you richly. We're so grateful for you both!!

Goodnight, dear readers...love those precious babies in your life. They're bénédictions fabuleuses!

The Celebration of Owen Isaiah

One of the most precious things in the world, is when God sends a baby into the world. It's first cry, the first time you see it's tiny little self, all wrapped up in blankets, in the arms of it's mommy, and you pull back his little blanket, and you see his round head, as soft as the inside of a rose petal...he might look at up at you and cry, or he might be sleeping, or his eyes might flutter as they adjust to their new surroundings. Something in you just want to hold and cuddle them forever...To run your finger over it's perfect nose, so tiny and smooth, that comes to a little button at the end, and what joy comes the first time they smile at you. A little baby is such a gift from the Lord, such a blessing. Recently, we gathered together to celebrate the birth of such a precious little one, Owen Isaiah H., a true joy!!! We love you, Precious! We're so glad you're here with us, and we're so grateful to God for your life.
The man himself! Sweet little paws...
A lovely gift of diapers-and such a creative way of presenting them! The Hagen and H. ladies had such a beautiful luncheon set out! Dearest J. (love that sweater!!) We feasted on strawberry soup and salad, and there were luscious sandwiches, too. The lunching Darling Small in her robes... Yes, blessings to you, Owen!! Laughter... Miss Mary. What a smile... Sweet sisters Gabby and Mary Mrs. K, the mama darling, opening her and Owen's gifts. What a jewel of a lady.
(LOL, I always laugh to myself at how when ever a new gift is opened, we all go "awww..." :) We make a regular choir!! Oh, but all the things really are cute...) After W. Dear shed her robes, she is seen here posing in front of the cake, LOL... And here she is after it's cutting... Camera wars, LOL! Precious S., big sister of the little honored man! And what a wonderful big sister she is-S. is such an example to me. And here's another set of sweet sisters, and Aunts to the little guy!! (Hey, Mrs. Apr.!! Kat. told me you stop by here every so often-super glad you do! Hope you're well. It was great meeting you, and seeing your mom and sister again, too!) Some more tasty little things... Sweet little E., big sister to little Owen...what a cutie pie. Some amazing and precious mothers and wives. S. DearAnd I'll end with a picture of Owen, a most beloved blessing!! We love you, baby.

Slip and Slide 2

Hey, Y'all!
Look at these hilarious old pictures of us kiddos back in '02/'03 on the slip and slide! We just got a huge bag full of old film developed, and have enjoyed (and laughed) ourselves to pieces looking at them all. We thought we'd share these, considering we enjoyed the same occupation this past summer. Only this was before the grand tire, dawn dish soap and sprinkler improvement of 08. :)
Look, everybody's soo little! {Oh, anybody out there remember that old bus in the background of the last picture!? Old pictures bring back so many precious memories...} 'Ze Slid and 'ze childwen-from left, that's Sam, Martha, (the one in mid-run) then John, Wesley, Cleveland (the one on his way into the fence) Katie (sliding) and then Andrew catching up!
Dorothy, Martha and Katie. And Wessy. (This was back before he gave up his finger thing. ;)
Notice the trash can strategically placed at the end of the slide to break your crash into the fence. We have since replaced it with tires-we've found they're a little softer. :D Oh, and look at Sam's face! So cute.
Cleve, Wes and Sambo...
Little Johnny man...Wow, to see how much the little boys have grown up in just these past few years, really motivates me to be a more loving, faithful sister to them-they're growing so fast, one fails so often, and time is so short. May the Lord help me to redeem the time.

Well, goodnight, folks! May the Lord fill you up with His perfect peace, that passes all understanding tonight!!

Love,
(Adeline for )the Morton 'Chillans

The Fish and the Boy

A few weeks ago found Andrew and his nephew fishing out on a neighbors dock. After pulling up a Little Bite, he carried on to show Bret a little about the swimming shiny thing. The child was terrified of the flopping fishie, and would not be comforted, so, back in the water he went...{the fish, I mean}A quick snapshot of the catch before his tossing...There goes!!! Here's Bret a jolly child once more!! He did enjoy the tossing, however, waving his chubby paws in excitment...Maybe we'll try the introductions again in a few months, but for now, we'll all enjoy watching the fish sail in the air and make a splash...
