Andrew's deer!!!!!

Hey everybody!!!!!
Here's to Andrew, our great hunter!!!! He shot a young buck Thanksgiving night, from the second story window of our house, 500 yards away!! And right in the heart!! {Oh, to those of you who may be eating those thanksgiving leftovers as you check this blog, you may want to skip the very last picture-kinda unappetizing. But it was such an great hit that we had to show y'all the picture) Regrets that I don't have any pictures of the crowd that gathered-the card was almost full!! But we were able to get one of our man and his first deer- Great job, Andrew!!
The heart and place that the bullet hit...

The meat is at the butcher's right now, being made into wonderful sausage!! Thanks, dear Andrew! You're wonderful.

Wesley's saying the only way to beat this one is to start stalking deer with a knife...

  1. Hello, obviously you don't know me, but I have read your blog for quite a while. Anyways, that is awesome. But my husband who has been babbling all the things he CAN tell about the gun, such as calibre yada yada yada, wants to know exactly what it is. He can't stand that he doesn't know what a gun is, as he knows what almost every gun ever looks like. lol. So if you don't mind, he asks what it is. Thank You

  3. This is Andrews older brother hear
Hi,I am a gun enthusiast myself.
    Andrews rifle is a Springfield
armory m1a that has been totally customized by smith enterprise.
They are the group that holds the contract to build them for the USN,and the British SAS this one has the Sage
EBR sock system on it, the extended
bolt release, the gas block front site
and the Vortx DC flash hider.
The optic that was used to make
his 500 yard shot was the Aimpoint
comp M4 this optic is a zero magnification OPTIC with a 2 MOA dot. The only three things that make
Andrews rifle different than what is currently issued to SEALs and SAS, for the DMR [designated marksman rifle] is the standard Springfield barrel, the front site is hooded
instead of the dove tale with the illuminated bar and it is
simi-aoutamatic instead of select fire. the NAVY version is called the Mk14 MOD 0 DMR. Cal,7.62X51 NATO. anyway, thanks for the interest, [answering these kind of
questions is lots of fun!]LOL. Cleveland.

    It was a young buck.
Andrew is 13 and he shot it from
his bedroom window, so, no license
    is needed by law
    thanks,Cleveland.
